Graduated in 2016. at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science under the mentorship of doc. dr. sc. Gordan Horvat. PhD in 2020 at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science. Doctoral dissertation entitled: "Thermodynamics of processes at inert matter – aqueous electrolyte solution interface" prepared under the mentorship of prof. dr. sc. Tajana Begović.
In the period from 2016 to 2020, employed at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science as an assistant doctoral student within the HRZZ project (IP-2014-09-6972; Electrical compaction of interfaces at the solid phase / aqueous electrolyte solution). Since 2020 he has been employed as a postdoctoral fellow within the HORIZON 2020 project (Mara-based industrial low-cost identification assay) at the same department.
Scientific activity primarily consists of: thermodynamic research of chemical reactions and physical processes, physical characterization of colloidal particles and flat surfaces, and computer research using molecular dynamics. During his scientific work, he developed a thermodynamic model that describes the reactions and processes that lead to the electric charging of the aqueous interfacial layer formed at the inert substance - aqueous electrolyte solution boundary. The model was validated using a variety of electrochemical, thermodynamic, and computational methods. He is currently working on the development of new technology for the development of fast and cheap testers for the detection of pathogens in a water sample.
He is co-author of three scientific papers cited in the Current Contents database and 8 conference papers at domestic and international scientific conferences.
