2) to the expert position of expert associate in the science and higher education system in natural sciences, the field of biology, the branch of botany, for an indefinite term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Botany of the PMF’s Department of Biology - 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, for any point of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).

The applicants under all points of the Call must enclose the following:

• a CV;
• the relevant diploma or certificate attesting to the required level of academic qualifications;
• a proof of nationality (a photocopy of the certificate of nationality or identity card).

The applicants under point 1 of the Call should also enclose:

• the transcript of their academic records from the undergraduate and graduate or the integrated study levels.

The applicants under point 1 must satisfy the following conditions:

• a completed university graduate study programme in Geography, research-oriented;
• the total GPA achieved in previous study levels (undergraduate, graduate) of at least 3.5.

The applicants under point 2 must satisfy the following conditions:

• a completed university graduate study programme in Experimental Biology; university graduate study programme in Ecology and Nature Preservation; university graduate study programme in Molecular Biology; university integrated undergraduate and graduate study programme in Biology and Chemistry; university graduate study programme in Biology and Chemistry; university graduate study programme in Biology;

Additional Conditions:

- experience related to working with databases and digitizing botanical specimens, the evidence of which should be listed in the CV.

Information for foreign nationals

In addition to all other documentary requirements, foreign nationals applying under any point of this Call must enclose a proof of Croatian language proficiency.

The candidates applying under point 2 of the Call should enclose the evidence of eligibility in accordance with the Ordinance on Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the PMF's Department of Biology, University of Zagreb, and on meeting additional conditions in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the PMF’s Department of Biology, University of Zagreb.

For all points of the Call applicants who are granted priority in employment based on special regulations must refer to this right in their application, and attach therewith all evidence specified by special regulations for exercising the right to priority in employment, as well as evidence of eligibility or the absence of obstacles specified by special regulations for exercising the right to priority. Such applicants are granted priority in employment under this Call in relation to other candidates, under the same conditions set out herein, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided that they meet all the conditions of the Call and that they have achieved the best result in the selection procedure.

An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.

APPLICANT ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE:

Eligible applicants applying under points 1 and 2 of the Call may be invited to take part in an interview within the framework of the selection procedure.

Such applicants will receive a special e-mail invitation with the details of the time and the place of the interview.

Any applicants who fail to attend the interview within the selection procedure they were expected to take part in pursuant to the special e-mail invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
