All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: The aim of the course is to develop competencies of pre-service physics teachers to independently prepare, perform and interpret physics school experiments. The emphasis is on the student and demonstration experiments which help students to acquire a physical experience of new phenomena. Experiment and corresponding discussion are essential for further generalization and development of physical ideas.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1. Introduction lecture on work in the laboratory, demonstration experiments.
2. Conceptual understanding of physics - the initial test and discussion.
3. Introduction to kinetic molecular theory and molecular phenomena.
4. Laws of motion.
5. Mechanics.
6. Simple electrical circuits.
7. Geometrical optics.
8. Conceptual test and discussion.
9. Waves.
10. Electromagnetic induction.
11. Pressure in liquids and gases.
12. Basic laws of electricity.
13. Physical optics
14. Conceptual test and discussion.
15. Extra lab time.
Exercise 3 to 7 and 9 to 13 are carried out cyclically.
