Description:
LECTURES
1) Introduction to the topics of the course and presentation of prior knowledge about sustainable development.
2) Introduction to the basic idea and content of the international scientific education program GLOBE.
3) Atmosphere, atmospheric and climatological measurements according to the GLOBE protocols.
4) Hydrosphere and measurements of physico-chemical and biological indicators of water quality according to GLOBE protocols.
5) Biosphere, cover, soil, biometric and phenological measurements according to GLOBE protocols.
6) Internet pages of the GLOBE program, Croatian pages of the GLOBE program, entry of GLOBE measurement results into the online GLOBE database.
7) History of the development of the idea of sustainable development, education for sustainable development, components of sustainable development, global sustainable development goals.
8) Themes of education for sustainable development, competences for sustainable development and how they can be developed.
9-10) Values, attitudes, behavior and social participation as goals of education for sustainable development.
11-12) Quality criteria for schools in education for sustainable development.
13-14) Education for sustainable development - possible applications for different age groups.
15) Topics of education for sustainable development in the curricula of the subjects of Nature, Biology and Chemistry.

SEMINAR
1) Analysis of the problems and challenges of the modern world, a look into the future (combination of group and individual work).
2-6) GLOBE e-training (solving e-modules on the GLOBE online platform to obtain a GLOBE teacher certificate).
7) Analysis of the global Sustainable Development Goals (student presentations).
8) Working methods for developing competences for sustainable development and methodological analysis.
9-10) Dramatization of a problem situation and methodological analysis with the aim of mastering working methods for testing/developing students' values, attitudes, behavior and social participation.
11-12) Analysis of quality criteria for schools in Education for Sustainable Development
13-15) Analysis of national and school curricula with regard to the integration of sustainable development topics into teaching and quality criteria for schools in Education for Sustainable Development.
