COURSE CONTENT
Interactions of molecules with radiation, electronic spectroscopy
Basic principles of reactions of electronicallu excited molecules.
Reaction intermediates, radicals, biradicals, carbenes, nitrenes, fullerenes, small-ring molecules, antiaromatic molecules
Photoreactions of different classes of organic compounds
Photochemistry in organic synthesis

COURSE OUTCOME

It is expected that students will be able to:
- classify organic photoreactions
- understand the nature of the reactive intermediates which appear i photochemical reactions
- understand reaction mechanisms in photochemistru
- to obtain skill in the use of photoreactions in planning the organic synthesis
