JOURNALS

The publishing activities of the Department of Geography are focused on publishing of two scientific journals: Hrvatski geografski glasnik (Croatian Geographical Bulletin) and Acta Geographica Croatica. Other scientific and professional publications are also published occasionally.

Hrvatski geografski glasnik (Croatian Geographical Bulletin) is one of the oldest scientific journals and the oldest geographic journal in Croatia. The first issue was published in 1929.
Hrvatski geografski glasnik publishes original research articles, as well as reviews in all geographic disciplines. A special emphasis is given to articles on Croatia. Papers are expected to be written in Croatian or English. The journal is published bi-annually. Scientific areas covered by the journal include interdisciplinary sciences (in the field of geography) and the related areas of natural and geosciences as well as social sciences and humanities. According to data from the SCIMAGO Journal Rankings for 2012, Hrvatski geografski glasnik is one of the TOP 20 most cited scientific journals in Croatia.

Acta Geographica Croatica has been published since 1958 under the title "Radovi". In 1992 the title was  changed to Acta Geographica Croatica.
The journal publishes original research articles, as well as review papers in all geographic disciplines.  Papers are published in Croatian and English. The journal is issued annually. More information and    archives  can be found here.
