Description: | |||||
Students practice applying acquired knowledge in the field. They independently conduct geological observations and measurements on outcrops and along geological profiles. In the field, they describe and identify igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks, measure structural elements, and interpret them. They become familiar with slope processes and their consequences. Students independently use basic geological tools, orient themselves in nature and on maps, keep a field journal, and collect samples. Based on field observations, students write a report containing their observations, measurements, and reconstructed geological profiles or maps. Through visits to Public Institutions for the Management of Protected Natural Areas and their associated sites, they learn about methods of protecting and valorizing geoheritage. |
