Within his research of cuprate superconductorsMihael Grbić has calclated the analytical solution for elektromagnetic modes of elliptical resonant cavity. This allowed them to use the resonant frequencies and compared them to numerical simulations and experiment. Also, with these solutions he calculated Q-factors for various forms of the resonant cavity - from the cilindircal limit to the extremely narrow square shaped "crack".
