COURSE OBJECTIVES:
The aim of the course Prevention of abuse and risk behavior is to develop knowledge about the role of stress and abuse trauma in education, and develop skills for prevention of students? risk behavior.

COURSE CONTENT:

1) Introduction to subject: The role of prevention in development of healthy personality;
2) Factors for development of risk behaviour, the role of stress and trauma;
3) Legal framework for child and juvenile protection;
4) Physical and sexual abuse;
5) Emotional abuse and neglect;
6) Bullying;
7) Abuse between teachers and students;
8) Juvenile delinquency: the role of individual factors;
9) Juvenile delinquency: the role of environmental factors;
10) Depression and other psychological disturbances;
11) Addictions;
12) Conflicts and mediation as a way of conflict resolution;
13) The role of school and teachers in prevention;
14) Prevention of risk behaviour by means of workshop;
15) Cooperation between teachers, parents, police and community in prevention of risk behaviours.
