Description:
1. Introduction to two-dimensional semiconductors.
2. Ground state crystal structure and band structure of two-dimensional semiconductors
3. Dielectric properties, single particele (electron-hole) and colective (plasmons) excitation in intrinsic and doped two-dimensional semiconductors.
4. Quasi-particle description of the conductive and valence bands in two-dimensional semiconductors (GW approach).
5. Introduction in optical and magnetic properties in two-dimensional semiconductors.
6. Construction of the BetheSalpeter equation (GW-BSE scheme) .
7. Excitons in two-dimensional semiconductors.
