a) solar structure, especially the convective zone and the atmosphere
b) solar activity and 22-year magnetic cycle
c) influence of the solar activity on the interplanetary space and the Earth.
2. Basic properties of the magnetohydrodynamic approximation (MHD):
a) MHD equations and basic MHD parameters
b) application to astrophysical conditions
c) MHD waves and shocks
d) ideal and dissipative MHD instabilities
e) magnetic reconnection.
3. Solar MHD dynamo - the source of solar magnetism:
a) differential rotation
b) interaction of the magnetic field, convection and rotation
c) global electric-current system and energy storage
d) magnetic field emergence
e) solar activity cycle.
4. Active regions:
