The Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, as a leading research and educational institution with a long tradition of teaching and research in various fields of climatology, establishes the first Center for Climatological Research which will be the central institution for interdisciplinary research on climate and climate change.
Starting in March 2021, our virtual lecture series is now available for students with a background in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (preferable 2nd or 3rd year of study).

The Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb is organizing the Faculty of Science PhD Student Symposium for the fifth time. The Symposium will take place in a later, spring term: from April 24 to April 25, 2021.
The Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb is preparing a new graduate study in biomedical mathematics, which is the first such study program in this part of Europe.
On Monday, June 29, 2020, at 1 pm, the promenade "Prof. Antun Heinz" was ceremoniously opened - the new southern fence of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science.
The promenade was opened by the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Mr. Milan Badić, and other representatives of the City, the Rector of the University of Zagreb, prof. dr. sc. Damir Boras, vice rector prof. dr. sc. Miljenko Šimpraga, dean of the Faculty of Science prof. dr. sc. Aleksandra Čižmešija, vice dean and newly elected dean of the Faculty of Science prof. dr. sc. Mirko Planinić and vice dean prof. dr. sc. Vesna Benković, then the head of the Department of Biology prof. dr. sc. Ivančica Ternjej, acting Head of the Botanical Garden dr. sc. Vanja Stamenković, Garden employees and other guests and media representatives.
