On March 1, 2023, Professor dr. Giovanni Paolo Galdi (University of Pittsburgh) visited Department of Mathematics and held lecture as part of Colloquium "Sibe Mardešić" of the Department of Mathematics, titled:

"Mathematical Analysis of Flow-Induced Oscillations of Spring-Mounted Body in a Navier-Stokes Liquid".

Giovanni P. Galdi is Distinguished Research Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, the Leighton E. and Mary N. Orr Professor of Engineering, and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also Honorary Professor in the TATA Institute of Fundamental Research, India, the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. He has been Distinguished/Chair Visiting Professor in several academic institutions in UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, China, Japan, India, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, France, Portugal, Italy, and Switzerland.
