All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:
To recognize the basic principles and mechanisms in biological evolution at different levels of study. To provide an overview of the main areas in modern evolutionary science. To understand the significance of principles and possibilities, trial and error in evolution. To show practical application of knowledge and experimental work in evolutionary issues.

3. Lectures: Chemical evolution, pre-atmosphere and conditions on Earth

Practical work: Microfossils preparations and electronic map
4. Lectures: Biological evolution; Domains and kingdoms of the living world; Universal ancestors of the living beings
Seminar: Adaptations and biodiversity
