Description:
Course objectives:
Introducing students with the distribution of chemical elements in the Universe, in the Earth system (Earth's crust, mantle and core), atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere and the laws that condition these distributions.

Course content (syllabus):
1) Introduction - from the structure of atoms, the formation of chemical elements, the age of the Earth, the development of the atmosphere
2) Chemical differentiation of the Earth
3) Chemical bonds, Coordination polyhedra
4) Normalization and geochemical calculations
5 - 6) Geochemistry of aqueous solutions
7 - 8) Activity and ionic strength of the solution
9) System CaCO3 -CO2 -H2O
10) Thermodynamics
11 - 12) Eh-pH diagrams, stability of minerals, Voltammetry
13) Chemical weathering
14) Isotopes
15) Diagrams and classifications in Geochemistry
