COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
The aim of this course is to enable students to independently use and use a personal computer for everyday needs (proper preparation of documents with mathematical text, network communication, application of office tools in everyday work). This laboratory is crucial for the continuation of the study because it is assumed that personal computers will be used in almost all courses.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1) Hardware and software in computer laboratories. Information and communication technology. Authorization and authentication infrastructure of the system of science and higher education. Software licensing.
2-3) Basic computer tasks. Operating system, files, text editing programs. Data storage - locally and online.
4-8) Design of standard documents. Designing of a more complicated mathematical text. Online text editing options.
9-13) Implementing mathematical calculations by using spreadsheets. Creating graphs using spreadsheet programs, selecting the appropriate type of graph to display a specific type of data.
13-15) Basic network services, e-mail, internet access, information search. Security in a network environment.
