TRANSFER OF STUDENTS FROM RELATED INSTITUTIONS TO THE DEGREE PROGRAMMES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMIST

TRANSFER OF STUDENTS FROM RELATED INSTITUTIONS TO THE DEGREE PROGRAMMES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026

Student transfers are possible until the end of the enrolment period prescribed for admission to the programme. Transfers are not possible during the first academic year. Transfers are decided upon by the authorized Department Council on the basis of a written and reasoned request, issued as a formal decision.

 

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING AND PROCESSING A TRANSFER REQUEST TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

The transfer request is submitted via the Student Office of the Department of Chemistry. Students may submit their request by 19 September 2025. Only requests submitted using the appropriate request form (available under the Documents menu) will be considered. In addition to submitting a signed hard copy to the Student Office, the form must also be sent electronically to the email address of the Teaching Committee of the Department of Chemistry: pzn@chem.pmf.hr

Along with the completed and signed transfer request form, the student must attach:

  • student record book (index)
  • a valid certified curriculum / study programme
  • signed and certified detailed course descriptions for the passed courses
  • a certified document listing all exams passed to date, including course titles, ISVU codes, the corresponding number of ECTS credits, and the grades achieved
  • proof of payment in accordance with the decision of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science.

Transfers are limited by the quota for each study programme. The ranking criteria are:

  • grade point average achieved in the current programme
  • number of exams passed
  • number of passed exams in courses essential for continuation of studies
  • number of ECTS credits earned
  • duration of studies at the home faculty.

Applicants will be notified of the results of the procedure on 25 September 2025 via email.

 

Students whose transfer is approved will not be able to enroll until we receive information on their previous studies from the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth. After that, we will be able to determine the conditions related to the obligation to pay tuition fees or exemption from tuition fees, and we will inform them accordingly.

 

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING A REQUEST FOR RECOGNITION OF EXAMS (THE REQUEST IS SUBMITTED AFTER ENROLLMENT IN A STUDY PROGRAMME OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY)

The authorized Department Council decides, by formal decision, on the recognition of passed exams from another programme and their equivalence with the exams in the programme to which the student is transferring. For this purpose, it is necessary to:

  • complete the form for recognition of passed courses, indicating which courses are requested for recognition,
  • attach detailed course descriptions of the passed courses, signed and certified by the course holders, for the purpose of recognition,
  • submit proof of payment for the recognition of courses passed in another study programme outside regulated mobility (amount: €7.00 per course).
