Biography

Graduated in 2006 and received her PhD in 2014 from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. She has been employed at the Division of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, since 2007 as a research assistant, and since 2014 as a senior research assistant. In 2018, she was appointed to the position of expert advisor at the Division of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science.

As a visiting scientist, she conducted research at the Chemical Institute of Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, at the Chemical Institute of University of Graz in Graz, and at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana. She also spent six months (July 2009 – March 2010) in professional training at the GlaxoSmithKline Research Centre in Zagreb, in the NMR spectroscopy laboratory (macrolide analysis).

Her scientific and professional work focuses on the development and application of NMR spectroscopy. She is engaged in structural characterization of compounds in solution and in the solid state, as well as in the study of ligand–receptor interactions using NMR spectroscopy. She is a trained operator for the NMR spectrometer, which represents major capital equipment of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science. She is responsible for maintaining the NMR Spectroscopy Laboratory. Since 2016, she has actively participated in professional work through Faculty of Science projects 705455 “NMR Spectroscopy Laboratory – internal services for Departments of the Faculty of Science” and 705454 “NMR Spectroscopy Laboratory – external providers”, serving as project leader and chief analyst.

She participates in teaching analytical chemistry at undergraduate and graduate levels.

She is a member of the Croatian Chemical Society.
