The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, pursuant to Article 78 of the Faculty Statute, announces a
C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S
for appointment into
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, applicants have to meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette Nos 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14, 60/15 and 131/17.)
For points 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Call, in addition to the application, applicants have to provide: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship, and other supporting documents as proofs of eligibility under the terms and conditions of the Call, in accordance with Article 10 of the Ordinance on the Appointment into Grades and Positions at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science, which can be accessed on the Faculty of Science website.
For points 1 and 4 of the Call, applicants have to submit a proof of eligibility under the additional terms and conditions as set forth in the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.
For point 1 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following conditions: 1) to hold a doctoral research degree in natural science or 5 years of work experience in the grade and position of expert associate/senior expert associate; and 2) co-authorship of 3 scientific papers or, alternately, of an adequate number of professional papers/popular science papers where 1 scientific paper equals 3 professional papers/popular science papers related to the area of expertise.
For point 1 of the Call, applicants have to meet the following additional terms and conditions: to have working experience in the area of synthetic organic chemistry and the working experience in the use of the preparative HPLC and microtiter plate reader instruments.
For point 2 of the Call, applicants have to meet the following condition: 1) to hold a master’s research degree in natural science or have 2 years of working experience in the grade and position of expert associate; and 2) co-authorship of 1 scientific paper or 3 professional/professional and popular science papers related to the area of expertise.
For point 3 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to hold a university degree of a relevant track in technical or natural science/math areas.
For point 4 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to have completed a university graduate study programme in chemistry, research-oriented (MSc in chemistry/pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer of chemistry)
For point 4 of the Call, applicants have to meet the following additional terms and conditions of the Call: to have working experience at an analytical chemistry lab and to be computer literate.
For all points of the Call, foreign nationals have to submit a Croatian language certificate.
Applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations have to invoke the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call.
Applicants applying for points 1. 2 and 3 of the Call who are fully eligible under all the formal terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, will be called for an interview with the Selection Board.
Applicants will receive a special notification advising them of the place and time of the interview.
Any applicant who fails to show up for the interview at the time and place as specified in the special notification, will be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings. An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.
Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.
The Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
Applications and the supporting evidence of eligibility under the terms and conditions of the Call should be posted to the following address: Faculty of Science, Dean’s Office (Human Resources), Zagreb, Horvatovac 102a.
Applicants should indicate in their applications which point of the Call they are applying for.
The results of the Call will be published on the Faculty of Science website: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
