Description:
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
Acquirement of fundamental theoretical and experimental knowledge of electromagnetism, operative knowledge of methods for solving numerical problems in electromagnetism, and development of physics and mathematics modelling skills for real electromagnetic problems

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1) Electric charge, Coulomb law
2) Electric field, superpozition principle, electric dipole
3) Gauss law and application
4) Electric potential energy and potential
5) Electric field and potential of a conductor, grounding
6) Capacitance and dielectrics
7) Electric current and electromotive force
8) Electrical resistance, DC current circuits
9) Magnetic field and magnetic force
10) Biot-Savart law, Ampere law and applications
11) Magnetic dipole moment, magnetic field
12) Faraday's law of induction
13) AC current, impedance of a coil and a capacitor
14) AC current circuits
15) Maxwell equations
