At the 15th European Mathematical Olympiad for Girls (EGMO) held in Bordeaux, Croatian representatives achieved excellent success. Under the guidance of professors Matija Bašić and Lucija Relić, Croatian high school students won two gold and one bronze medal. The gold medals went to Mila Maretić (First High School, Varaždin) and Maša Dobrić (XV. High School, Zagreb), and the bronze to Antonela Božić (III. High School, Split). Ita Blašković was the fourth member of the team (First High School, Zagreb).
In the official competition, our competitors took 7th place (while in the competition of 67 world countries they were 12th).
This year's results are an excellent announcement for the hosting of the EGMO in Šibenik next year.
Ivan Novak and Vanja Wagner also participated in this competition as delegates.
