COURSE OBJECTIVES:
The objective of Basic analytical chemistry laboratory course is the introduction to basic laboratory procedures of qualitative and quantitative analysis with the purpose of conducting classes in elementary and high school.

COURSE CONTENT:

EXERCISES
1) Qualitative analysis of I-VI group cations separately;
2) Qualitative analysis of I-V group anions separately;
3-4) Gravimetric analysis of iron and aluminium mixture;
5) Preparation of standard HCl and NaOH solutions;
6-7) Titrimetric determination of NaOH and Na2CO3 mixture;
8) Nitrogen determination by Kjeldahl method;
9) Titrimetric chloride determination by Fajans method;
10) Determination of water hardness by complexometric titration with EDTA;
11) Preparation of standard Na2C2O4 and KMnO4 solutions;
12-13) Application of redox titrations: chemical oxygen demand;
14-15) Spectrophotometric determination of iron quantity in a sample.
