Description:

The objectives of the course Geographical Foundations of Globalization are: understanding the theories and discourses of the globalization phenomenon from individual aspects: economic, political, social and ecological, as well as considering alternative globalization processes, and understanding how global changes are reflected at lower spatial levels (national, regional and local) and their mutual influence. The specific objective of the course is the development of professional competencies in basic science and the development of competencies for independent research work.

4. Aspects of globalization - Economic aspect of globalization.
5. Political aspect of globalization.
6. Demographic aspect of globalization.

10. Globalization and environmental problems.
11. Anti/alternative globalization movements.
12. Croatia in the process of globalization.
Seminars: Seminar topics change and are adapted every year to suit and follow current events.
