Social understanding

A drop of life is a student project of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin. It is an application that will directly connect blood donors with institutions that collect blood and thus help to save lives. The application works by connecting donors with institutions for the purpose of collecting blood. Thus, the user using the application can see their previous donations and when and where the next opportunity to donate blood will be. Also, if institutions lack certain blood types, they can specifically notify users with that blood type (through the so-called Push notification) to come to donate blood if they are able. In addition to linking institutions and donors, the application has an educational role, the goal of which is to get more people to donate blood and to increase awareness of the need for blood donors. (prepared by: Anđela Knez)

Let's be good hosts! In Croatia there are many who had to leave their homes or never had one in the first place. Among them there are creative young people without parental support, or refugees that came to Croatia escaping from war. In order for them to create and be what they are, they need instruments, paint brushes, dancing shoes, a place to sing, a photocamera.
