Specialist supervisory services: Geological-geomorphological-speleological-biospeleological supervision

SUMMARY:

Within the framework of the project "CENTER OF EXCELLENCE OF CEROVAC CAVE - SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL HERITAGE AND KARST UNDERGROUND" funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020.

The project improves the presentation of one of the primary tourist attractions of PP Velebit, Cerovac Caves by building a modern reception center for visitors, reconstruction of visitor infrastructure, reconstruction of promenades to caves and in caves in the part already used for tourism purposes and communal equippment of the pedestrian zone to accommodate more visitors and vehicles.
The main objective of the project "Specialist supervision services: Geological-geomorphological-spelaeological-biospeleological supervision" is to carry out continuous professional supervision of works in caves and their surroundings related to their geological, geomorphological, speleological and biospeleological features. The project is implemented by a bidding consortium: Speleological Club Željezničar, Zagreb (as the leading partner) and the Faculty of Science, Department of Geography and the Croatian Geological Institute.
