Description:
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
The aim of the course is to introduce students to elements of complex analysis and matrix theory which are used in linear systems theory and optimal control.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1. Laplace transform and Hardy spaces. (8 hours)
2. Matrix functions. (8 hours)
3. Lyapunov equation. (6 hours)
4. Riccati equation. (8 hours)
5. Disipative dynamocal systems. (4 hours)
6. Linear matrix inequalities. (6 hours)
7. Hankel singular values. (4 hours)
8. Nehari problem. (4 hours)
9. Structured singular values. (4 hours)
