Description:
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
The aim of the course is to introduce students to basics of linear systems theory and optimal control.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1. Motivation and examples, state space. (4 hours)
2. Controlability and observability. (8 hours)
3. Eigenvalue assignment. (4 hours)
4. Model realization and subspace identification. (6 hours)
5. Input-output and transfer functions, model reduction. (6 hours)
6. Stability, estimation and stabilization of system. (6 hours)
7. H2 optimal control. (6 hours)
8. H-infinity synthesis. (6 hours)
9. Undetermined systems. (6 hours)
