On July 18, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., a photovoltaic solar power plant was put into operation at the Faculty of Science.
The solar power plant is located on the roofs of the buildings of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Geophysics, with a total power of 192 kW and is financed exclusively from our own resources!
This step represents an important part of the green transition supported by the European Union, whose goal is to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. The solar power plant on the roofs of PMF contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and promotes the use of renewable energy sources, making the faculty one of the pioneers of sustainable development in higher education in Croatia.
