Absorption spectroscopic methods for characterization of biomolecules and their application in clinical chemistry (biomolecules as chromophores). Fluorescence spectroscopy (application on farmaceutical and clinical samples, biomolecules, FRET, FISH, green fluorescent protein). Atomic spectroscopy (application on biomolecules and clinical samples). The application of nuclear magnetic resonance for medical diagnosis and determination of a biomolecules structure (proteins, nucleic acids, protein-DNA/RNA complexes, oligosaccharides). Use of mass spectrometry for determining the elemental composition of a real samples- vitamins, steroids, drugs). The application of electroanalytical methods for medical biochemistry (biosensors and an ion-selective electrodes in clinical chemistry chemical tests for various components: ions (K, Na, Ca), enzymes or substrates (urease, creatine kinase or glucose, cholesterol), gases (oxygen, carbon dioxide). The determination of amino acids by colorimetric, fluorimetric, microbiological and enzyme methods. Methods for purifying and determination nucleic acids and proteins (ultracentrifugation, chromatography, electrophoresis). Separation and analysis methods of Carbohydrates and lipids (chromatography, enzyme and colorimetric methods, electrophoresis). |
