Challenges in Meteorology 7 - Meteorology supporting public authorities

Challenges in Meteorology are scientific and professional conferences organized by the Croatian Meteorological Society. In 2020 due to the pandemic, the conference brought together meteorologists, climatologists and other experts along with the users of meteorological information in a virtual setting.  The main aim of the conference is to exchange the most recent results of the scientific research in meteorology as well as strengthen communication with the users of meteorological data.

This year, from 4 till 5 November 2020, SWALDRIC research group participated in Challenges in Meteorology conference with two presentations in Meteorological extremes and their impacts session. More about the conference as well as the programme of the conference can be found here.

The European Conference on Severe Storms

Every two years, the international scientific community gets together to participate in the European Conference on Severe Storms and present the newest results in severe storm research. 2019 SWALDRIC research group members have participated in this conference and presented its results with two posters. The conference has taken place in Krakow, Poland, from 4 to 8 November 2019. During this time more than 200 international participants, including many lead scientists in the field discussed newest findings on severe weather, Detailed programme of the conference can be found here.
