The course is aimed specifically at postgraduate students across UNIC partner institutions who have a minimum of one year of active teaching experience.

TL6009: Digital Education for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education

This 5 ECTS course introduces participants to foundational ideas in Digital Education and encourages critical engagement with contemporary research and scholarly debates in the field.

Participants will evaluate and use a range of Digital Education tools and approaches, considering how these may (or may not) be integrated into their own disciplinary and pedagogical contexts. Drawing on this knowledge, they will design or redesign an aspect of their teaching practice (e.g., learning activities, assessment approaches, or feedback strategies) and reflect on their decisions regarding the use of digital education approaches.

Through practical workshops, reflections, discussions, and assessments, participants will gain foundational knowledge in digital education and develop confidence in responding to evolving teaching and learning challenges. They will also articulate their own approach to digital education and the rationale underpinning the degree to which they choose to integrate digital approaches into their teaching.

  • Postgraduate students enrolled in any UNIC partner institution.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of one year of active teaching experience. This could include classroom teaching, tutorials, training, supervision, placement work, lab-based work, in the field, or in an online context
