We announce a new iteration of an experiential leadership workshop

“Young Leaders 2025: Empowering young group leaders for scientific leadership”

for the scientific staff of Ruđer Bošković Institute, Institute of Physics, and Faculty of Science to be run over the course of three two-day modules. Full details of the training programme are provided in the attached document. This workshop will be provided free of charge for a single group of 15-20 participants, with priority given to especially motivated candidates, as shortlisted by the facilitator. The target group are scientists irrespective of their level of leadership experience, from PhD students to senior staff members.

The leadership course is meant to provide a basic training in the domain of leadership and management. It targets skills relevant for interpersonal communication and influence, but also skills beneficial for developing organizations to a level of higher efficacy, efficiency and wellbeing of its members. The topics covered are essential both in an academic and non-academic environment, and are focused to stimulate further personal development of participants and developing efficient teams. The course is built upon established leadership and managerial literature.

The workshop will be held on the following dates: 

• Module 1: 16.10.-17. 10. (Thursday full day, Friday full day)
• Module 2: 10.11.-11.11. (Monday full day, Tuesday full day)
• Module 3: 05.12.-06.12. (Friday full day, Saturday half day)

Attendance in person at Ruđer Bošković Institute location (Bijenička cesta 54) and please make sure you are available for all slots. If you cannot reschedule your experiments/other duties, please refrain from applying this time: this is the fourth iteration of this workshop and there will hopefully be more in the future. The workshop will be held in English in case any participants are non-native Croatian speakers, and can be switched to Croatian otherwise.
