The 28th Colloquium of the International Geographical Union Commission on the Sustainability of Rural Systems (IGU-CSRS)
23 – 25 August 2021
VIRTUAL - hosted by Departmet of Geography, Faculty of Science, Zagreb, Croatia
WE ARE GOING VIRTUAL, AUGUST 23-25, 2021
After careful consideration of numerous factors and contingencies affecting the organization of our annual conference, particularly health risks and travel restrictions, we have decided to hold the Colloquium virtually on August 23-25, 2021. Registration fees will be reduced for the virtual format.
All participants will receive a Book of Abstracts in digital format (pdf) and a Certificate of Attendance (both in digital/pdf format and printed version by regular mail).
Although we are sad that we will not be able to meet in person, we felt it was important not to have another year without our Colloquium.
FIELD EXCURSION IN RURAL CROATIA IN JULY 2022
However, we also recognized the importance of the field excursions which have been a hallmark of past IGU-CSRS Colloquiums. They have become an integral part of our conferences and give participants a great understanding of rural areas around the world. For this reason, it has been decided that field excursion in rural Croatia will be organized by Local Organizing Committee in July 2022, immediately preceding the Centennial Congress of IGU in Paris (to be held July 18-22, 2022). Paris is only a short and relatively affordable flight (or even bus/train ride) away from Zagreb, which hopefully will be convenient especially for our colleagues from far away corners of the world who are planning to attend Centennial Congress. Please note that participation in the excursion to rural Croatia in July 2022 is completely independent from this year's virtual Colloquium. More details will follow.
