The Bicycle Repair Shop's purpose is to provide space, tools and advice to all interested in repairing their own bike. In the Bicycle Repair Shop bicycle owners will be able to find some of the less accessible cycle repair tools that most people don't have at home. Once a week at the Bicycle Repair Shop everyone who shows up will have access to the help of volunteers who will help them with any repairs which attendees do not know how to do themselves. This service is based on the "do it yourself" principle: all the repairs are done by oneself, so people can quickly learn bicycle repair techniques. If a part on a bike needs to be replaced, the Bicycle Repair Shop can find a free replacement - usually a part that someone donated to the Bicycle Repair Shop, or the parts salvaged from old and "unusable" bikes. One of the major goals of this project is to prevent usable bicycles, or their parts, from being scrapped. The desire is to collect as many old bikes as possible and either rebuild them or salvage their usable parts. (prepared by: Anđela Knez)

Its objective is to conserve or re-establish a favourable conservation status for more than a thousand threatened and rare taxa, and approximately 230 natural and semi-natural habitat types. To date, some 30,000 areas in almost 20% of EU territory have been included in the network, making this the largest system of conserved areas in the world. Natura 2000 was founded according to EU Directives. Areas are selected according to scientific benchmarks, and special consideration is given to public interest and the benefit of the people living in these areas. (Prepared by: Iris Mužić)
