The right to admission consists of several requirements:
1. Average grades in undergraduate and graduate study of geography at a level of an average of 3.5 (in total and individually);
2. Average grades in undergraduate and graduate study of another subject at a level of an average of 3.5 (in total and individually) only after a decision by the Doctoral Study of Geography Council is reached. The decision may consist of a list of exams an applicant has to pass before the topic of doctoral dissertation proposal is due (2nd year of study).
3. Applicants with a finished postgraduate study (“old” master’s degree, mr. sc.) of geography or another subject, after a decision by the Doctoral Study of Geography council is reached.
Apart from finishing undergraduate and graduate studies, there are several other criteria which are implemented during the application process:
4. A written elaboration of the scientific research theme (the proposed research);
5. Previous scientific and professional work that shall be evaluated according to certain criteria, various ponders (number of points), one of which must mandatorily be met (including: a published scientific paper review, Chancellor’s Prize, a published reviewed professional paper, active participation at a scientific conference, active participation at a professional conference, participation in a scientific project, and participation in a professional project).
All the criteria shall be awarded points. The final number of points shall position the applicant in the corresponding place in the ranking list and the right to admission shall be based thereon.
The decision on all of the applicants is made by the Geography Department Council at the proposal of the Doctoral Study of Geography council.
The quota is 10 students per year.
Tuition fee is determined individually for every academic year and is as follows:
1st year: 12 000 kn
2nd year: 7 000 kn
3rd year: 5 000 kn
