održat će znanstveni kolokvij (doktorski seminar) iz Fizike elementarnih čestica pod naslovom:
Black holes in noncommutative theories
Noncommutative geometry is an established candidate for modeling manifolds with intrinsic minimal length scales. This modeling of minimal length scales is incorporated by (systematically) introducing noncommutativity relations between coordinates. Such spaces are sometimes also called quantum spaces. In this talk we show how our Universe appears to have a minimal length scale (of Planck length) and we gently introduce the generalized differential geometry for such "manifolds", allowing us to study various geometric structures on them. This includes geodesics and parallel transport, gauge transformations etc.
In the second part of the talk we discuss black holes in this formalism and outline the ideas behind author's papers which comprise his PhD Thesis. These papers concern the entropy of black holes in noncommutative geometry, the noncommutative version of Poincare gauge symmetry of gravity and, finally, the noncommutative version of the Einstein-Maxwell equation coming from a noncommutative action principle and its solutions.
Seminar će se održati u četvrtak, 3. lipnja 2026. godine u 13:00 sati u predavaonici F-201 Fizičkog odsjeka Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.
Pozivaju se studenti doktorskog studija Fizike, smjer Fizika elementarnih čestica, da prisustvuju seminaru, ako nisu spriječeni.
Voditelj smjera:
Prof. dr. sc. Maro Cvitan, v.r.
